Erectile Dysfunction Compounding Pharmacy

Managing Erectile Dysfunction

HDRx supports men in managing erectile dysfunction (ED) by providing both sterile and non-sterile compounded medications.

We offer a diverse selection of ED medications in various forms and combinations of active ingredients suited to individual patient needs, ensuring precise dosage and targeted administration. Many men need alternative options beyond standard commercial (mass-produced) pharmaceuticals, catering to patients with specific requirements or those who have not found success with traditional medications.

Medications for Erectile Dysfunction (ED)

Sterile Injections Sterile erectile dysfunction (ED) injections typically involve the use of medications like Tri-Mix or Quad-Mix, which are compounded solutions containing multiple active ingredients. These injectables are administered directly into the penis, promoting blood flow to help achieve and maintain an erection. This method is often used for patients who do not respond well to oral ED medications. It offers a rapid onset of action and can be a potent alternative when other medications have failed.

Most prescribed compounded injection formulas for ED:

Bi-Mix

Contains two of the three drugs found in Tri-Mix, usually phentolamine and papaverine, omitting alprostadil for those who may have sensitivities to it.

Tri-Mix

Usually consists of three active ingredients: phentolamine, papaverine, and alprostadil. This combination helps relax the smooth muscles and dilate the arteries in the penis, increasing blood flow to create an erection.

Quad-Mix

Includes the same components as Tri-Mix (phentolamine, papaverine, alprostadil) with an addition of atropine, which can enhance the effects of the other drugs.

Non-Sterile Options

HDRx offers non-sterile preparations for erectile dysfunction, specifically focusing on personalized formulations of Tadalafil (a Cialis® alternative) and Sildenafil (a Viagra® alternative).

These medications can be compounded into troches, capsules, or tablets to suit individual needs and preferences, providing a customized approach for patients seeking alternatives to standard ED treatments. This flexibility allows for precise dosing and potentially improved patient compliance and satisfaction.
